Consolidated Holding Corporation (CHC) (formerly known as NBC Holding Corporation) is a statutory corporation established by the Parliament through enactment of the National Bank of Commerce (Reorganization and Vesting of Assets and Liabilities) Act No 23 of 1997 (now Chapter 404 of the Laws).
In 2007, the National Assembly passed amendments to Cap 404 through Acts Nos. 10 and 26 of 2007 to vest all the remaining activities of the Loans and Advances Realization Trust (LART), Air Tanzania Holding Corporation (ATHCO), SIMU 2000 Ltd and Presidential Parastatal Sector Reform Commission (PSRC) to the Corporation (CHC).
