Major Functions and Duties

The functions of CHC include among others, liquidation and monitoring of public enterprises; divestiture of parastatal organizations; receiving and discharging of claims; disposing of the properties, rights and obligations and recovering of debts.

The Corporation’s main duties and functions are defined by the enabling Act and can be summarized as follows:


        • Managing its investments in NBC Ltd  (30% share held as nominee)

        • Loan recovery in respect of debtors of: CHC, Ex-LART, Ex-ATHCO
          Ex-SIMU 2000 LTD, and Ex-PSRC

        • Sale of landed properties

        • Divestiture of parastatal organizations 
          Coordination to regulatory authorities

        • Liquidation of Public Enterprises (PEs)

        • Settlement of matters arising from previous divestiture/liquidation of public enterprises

        • Settlement of creditors’ claims

        • Handling of litigation and claims

        • Conducting monitoring and evaluation of privatized entities

        • Strengthening Public-Private Partnerships (mandate to be clarified)
