Consolidated Holding Corporation is technically a liquidating organisation, charged with the responsibility of ensuring settlement of the former NBC liabilities against realisable assets. The performance of the Corporation since inception is good. It has managed to discharge its tasks efficiently in line with the Corporate Plan. The main tasks discharged by the Corporation up to 31st December, 2007 include: Disposal of residual assets, Loan Recovery, Settlement of cases, and Divestiture of public enterprises.

Disposal of residual assets

Since its inception, the Corporation had sold 441 out of 443 landed properties to the Government, individuals, public and private institutions for a total amount of Tshs. 26.0 billion out of which Tshs. 25.8 billion has been collected, while the balance of Tshs. 0.3 billion is to be settled under special repayment arrangements, entered into between the Corporation and the respective buyers.Similarly during this period the Corporation  disposed  66 motor vehicles, which realised a total amount of Tshs. 460 million. Furniture and fittings sold during the period under review fetched a total of Tshs. 282 million. The Corporation has so far sold about 99% of all residual assets, which were transferred by virtue of the establishment Act.

For the purpose of making debt collection task more efficient and iffective, the Directorate has out sourced debt collectors in various parts of our Country as entailed in the attached document underneath.

The Management requests the Debtors to acknowledge them and extend to them all the cooperation. The Loan Recovery Officers and Debt collectors regularly visit our debtors to remind them to pay their debts.
