Board of Directors

In accordance with the provisions of the Act, the Corporation’s organizational and functional set up consists of a Board of Directors and Management. However, the Minister responsible for finance has discretional powers to determine the functions of the Corporation. The Board of Directors is the policy and regulatory authority of the Corporation. It comprises a Chairman appointed by the President and five other members appointed by the Minister responsible for finance.

Appointment

The Board of Directors is the governing body of CHC established under Cap 404. It comprises six members: the Chairman and the five members.

(a) Chairman

The Chairman of the Board of CHC is appointed by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania. The Chairman is appointed for a fixed term of three years and is eligible for re--appointment.


(b) Members

The five (5) members are appointed by the Minister responsible for finance after consultation with the relevant sector Ministers.
The current Board of Directors comprises the following Directors:-
